ORLANDO, Fla. - CuisineWire -- As Covid-19 changes the scope of work and plain field for many industries, the events, food and tourism industries are still some of the ones suffering the most. It's also where we're seeing some of the biggest innovations.

Last year hundreds of people went to the IQ Gastronomic Festival in Orlando which hosted chefs and professionals from all over the world. Due to the situation with Covid-19, the organizers of such event decided it was not safe to have people attend even if it was an open doors event. Far from cancelling the event, they decided to re-invent it into the IQ Gastronomic Summit and make it in Spanish becoming the first international gastronomic summit online in Spanish of its kind.

Some summits of this sort are planned in English this year, but this is the first of its kind in Spanish. The congress will address some of the current worldwide situations affecting the food industry such as Covid-19, food shortage, globalization and inequality. It will also provide valuable information and education for professionals who have or want to build a related business.

The IQ Gastronomic Summit will last a week, taking part from the 29^th of September to the 2^nd of October. It will have speakers from all over the world including famous chefs and foodies.

"Not everything will be business, we will also have chefs showcasing recipes and techniques to ensure the gastronomic experience is still there" said Ivaneska Calixto, founder of both the IQ Gastronomic Summit and IQ Gastronomic Festival and CEO of IQ Social Business.
