FRANKENMUTH, Mich. - CuisineWire -- It's that time of year again when the culinary team at Frankenmuth's Bavarian Inn Resort creates a delicious array of dining choices for families who want to celebrate Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 28) at home or in Michigan's "Little Bavaria."
This year the Bavarian Inn Restaurant will again offer a special dining room menu as well as a take-home dinner option, while the Bavarian Inn Lodge's sumptuous annual Thanksgiving Harvest Buffet takes place beginning with 11 a.m. seatings on Thanksgiving Day.
For those who wish to dine at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant, signature entrees are being offered including the Ultimate Family Style Dinner and all-you-can-eat Frankenmuth Chicken ® or roast turkey dinners. Other dining room entrees for Thanksgiving Day include Hunter's Schnitzel, Wiener Schnitzel, broiled whitefish, New York strip steak and a Frankenmuth Chicken ® plate. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (989) 652-9941.
The Bavarian Inn Restaurant is also offering a complete take home roasted turkey dinner that serves four people. The menu includes a whole roasted (10-14 lb.) turkey and quarts of mashed potatoes (with a pint of gravy), baked dressing, Bavarian Inn buttered noodles, Blue Hubbard squash, coleslaw and cranberry relish. It also includes Bavarian Inn seasoning and one loaf of Bavarian Inn house-made bread. Guests can also add a large apple or pumpkin pie for $15. There are options for adding Frankenmuth Chicken ® as well, but no substitutions are available for the meal package.
