WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - CuisineWire -- We are thrilled to announce that our William & Mary Collection will be launching on the university's Charter Day, February 9th, 2024. The two custom roast profiles have been specifically designed for William & Mary by local roaster and alum, James Kroll '12, founder of Column 15 Coffee.
Through a partnership with William & Mary, Column 15 Coffee has designed two unique roast profiles specifically designed for the William & Mary community. During the fall, students voted on their favorite roast at the Column 15 location in Swem Library and after a near tie, the Griffin Green and Wren Twilight moved towards production.
Wren Twilight is a dark roast with notes of molasses and almond over a dark chocolate base and Griffin Green is a mellow medium light roast with subtle notes of jasmine over light earthy chocolate undertones.
Column 15 Coffee, opened a retail location in Swem Library over the summer which has quickly become a popular hangout and study spot for W&M students. The W&M Collection is now available as a drip coffee option at the campus location, dining locations on campus as well as at Column 15's location in the James-York Plaza. Column 15 will be sampling both roasts at the Charter Day ceremony on February 9, 2024 in Kaplan Arena, and will have bags available to purchase on-site. After Charter Day, the W&M Collection will be available in 12 oz retail bags at the Swem Library location, the Column 15 main location and online at column15.com. Retailers interested in carrying the W&M Collection should contact Column 15 directly.

"Sometimes a great project is just meant to be. After seeing the popularity of Column 15 on campus, and hearing James' story, the partnership just seemed like a natural fit. William & Mary will receive a percentage of revenues generated through the sale of the coffee which are returned to the university's General Fund to support initiatives set forth by the Board of Visitors.
