This area encompasses part of Tokyo's Shitamachi downtown region and is famous for Edo-era handicrafts – still made here today, including folding screens and Edo Kiriko faceted glassware, featured in the video.
Throughout the video, visitors are invited to partake in a wide range of experiences in the TOKYO SKYTREE area. These include eating colorful traditional wagashi sweets and modern fruit and ice cream treats, buying souvenirs from earrings to wallets, strolling past boutiques and cafés at Tokyo mizumachi – a community based shopping complex below the Tobu Railway tracks along the Sumida River, dressing up and walking around in kimono, riding a historic rickshaw with English commentary, admiring old-world woodblock prints at the Sumida Hokusai Museum, and of course dining at the elegant Restaurant Musashi, 345 meters above ground, on the SKYTREE observation deck.
